JUNE 14 UPDATE: We are making a MAJOR HORN CHANGE.  We are changing to Bflat instuments NOW. This will help a lot of us who keep having trouble  fingering on the 2-valve horns. We have a buyer (Corps in TX) for our horns. We can use individual member 3-valve horns and we are also into a purchase of some bari's from another major Corps. Other horns will be solicited to be purchased by donors from the community and some from from members. This is a GREAT change for us and
WE KNOW this will be good news to a number of you who have been struggling with converting to the 2-valve horns. More on this later. If you have any of our horns, PLEASE GET THEM TO BILL CLENDENON ASAP since we are selling them all to the TX corps buyer.

Another NEWS Item:  We have a new BRASS DIRECTOR who has played with our MUSIC DIRECTOR, Dennis Eveland. So more on this later. GREAT CHANGES ARE UNDERWAY and many of our members contacted already are SUPER ENTHUSIASTIC about them. WE ARE GOING TO GET THE PRESIDENTS BACK UP AND GOING BY JUST KEEPING ON - KEEPING ON. That is, we are not quitting. We will work at this Corps right on through the Fall and get it up to speed again. Just keep hanging with us guys and gals!!!

Our rehearsals have seen
both old and new members having a lot of fun working on our 2008 music, BUT WE NEED and WANT MORE MEMBERS. We are hoping to see more musicians (horns, drummers, guard) show up now that school is ending. If you, or anyone you know in interested, please come to the June 21st rehearsal.

We also need some financial contributors. We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit community organization and need some new instruments, a few uniform parts, and we need to eliminate some old bills. If anyone can contribute any financial support to us, we would most certainly appreciate it.

We are now not sure how much we will be able to do during the 2008 Season, but we voted to continue our building and rehearsal efforts all Summer and next Fall without a break to keep the Corps building. If we can do a few "standups" or, if we are lucky enough to get more members, we will do some parades and other performances if the musicians will respond and join us.

If we don't get them now, we will keep on building and shoot for the next season. Gas prices and other financial issues seem to be hitting our members. This is what is causing a slow response to date. Our major hope now is that we will have enough Jr. High and High School band members interested in joining us for the Summer and Fall. We will just keep practicing and working at improvements until we can get up to size to perform. So, if anyone out there in our Region is interested, this is your open invitation to Join Us. Give us a call. ____________________________

THE PRESIDENTS Drum and Bugle Corps wants to hit the competition field in 2008 if at all possible. We have the new music and just need members to be able to do it.! We have received invitations to perform this Season. Every member should plan on getting ready NOW for this Season. We will be starting formation playing and hit the field for some marching practice (weather permitting) in our future rehearsals.

Everyone who has not already started rehearsals with us should make definite advance plans to attend the next Rehearsal to see what we are talking about.
Things keep popping up weekly and we can make this be a super EXCITING 2008 for THE PRESIDENTS .
