NEEDED: MORE MEMBERS. We are hoping to see more musicians (horns, drummers, guard) show up now that school is ending. If you, or anyone you know in interested, please call Bill Clendenon. His number is at the bottom of this column or his webmail address in the upper right column.

We also need some financial contributors. We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit community organization and need some new instruments, a few uniform parts, and we need to eliminate some old bills. If anyone can contribute any financial support to us, we would most certainly appreciate it.

We are still rebuilding this Corps for being able to perform whenever we can get enough musicians to do so. Everyone should note that one corps like us fielded with just 3 drummers, 8 horns and 3 guard this past season. They were honored for their determination and tenacity. We should have been there doing the same thing and could have. You just have to hang in there with us. Even the big Corps this past season were all down in size for the most part too. So, the lesson is WE CAN DO IT WITH DEDICATED MUSICIANS. Give us a call and let's go for it. All ages and levels of experience are able to be considered in our Corps. Don't count yourself out. You are what we need to succeed.

We are going to keep on building and shoot for fielding the Corps during the next season. Our major hope now is that we will have enough Jr. High and High School band members interested in joining us. We will just keep practicing and working at improvements until we can get up to some size to perform.

 So, if anyone out there in our Region is interested, this is your open invitation to Join Us. Give us a call. (see number below). ____________________________

CURRENT MEMBERS, FORMER RETURNING MEMBERS, AND NEW MEMBER APPLICANTS: Make plans to attend and bring along any interested potential applicants to the next rehearsal.

We need more drummers, brass players, female color guard line members, and we would like to get some Drum Major applicants.

REHEARSALS ARE HELD AT: the VFW Post 1990 , 70 Harlan Street, Greeneville, Tn. from 12 Noon until 4:00p.m. Bring a friend. We are always recruiting.

We have new people of all ages coming in from all over this Region. This includes people from  the States of Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee. We welcome them and anyone else from this Southern Regional Area who wish to join us.

Note This: We will make room for EVERYONE who wants to join us. We are securing additional instruments via donations from individual community members, area businessmen and others who want to do so, and some members are purchasing their own horns.

Please remind everyone who might be a potential contributor that we are a 501(c),3, organization per the IRS , which means volunteers and supporters can contribute to us and get Tax Deduction credit. Also, all volunteers giving us support work, having driving, meals, and overnight and other related expenses can take legitimate tax deductions.
